Taiwan Pedagogy and Practice in Technology-Enhanced Language Learning Association Constitution

  1. Name
    The Association shall be called “Taiwan Pedagogy and Practice in Technology-Enhanced Language Learning Association” and is hereinafter referred to as “the Association”.
  2. Purpose
    The Association is a non-profit social organization duly incorporated by law and is established to promote collaboration between scholars in Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL)/ Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) worldwide combining theory and practice, thereby contributing to academia around the globe.
  3. Mission
    The missions of the Association are as follows:
    1. Recruiting members: The Association shall recruit scholars in TELL/CALL through social media, conferences and so on.
    2. Organizing workshops: The Association shall regularly organize workshops focusing on experience sharing and career growth.
    3. Organizing international conferences: The Association shall regularly organize international conferences and co-organize with world-renowned organizations in TELL/CALL conferences relevant to the areas mentioned in Article 2; and
    4. Publishing research: The Association shall provide researchers in TELL/CALL with an opportunity to have their studies published for enhancing global impact.
  1. Membership
    The Association shall have four types of members:
    1. Student members: Any current student holding a valid student card, who endorses the purposes of the Association, may become a student member after filling and submitting the application form upon approval by the Association. Membership fees of TWD 500 shall be paid upon joining the Association; the annual membership fee is TWD 500 and should be paid before the annual convention.
    2. Individual members: Any individual of 20 years of age or older, who endorses the purposes of the Association, may become an individual member after filling and submitting the application form upon approval by the Association. Membership fees of TWD 1,000 shall be paid upon joining the Association; the annual membership fee is TWD 1,000 and should be paid before the annual convention.
    3. Associate members: Any individual or group who endorses the purposes of the Association and makes the financial contribution may become an associate member of the year after filling and submitting the application form upon approval by the Association.
    4. Group members: Any non-profit corporation or group that endorses the purposes of the Association may become a group member after filling and submitting the application form upon approval by the Association. Two members from each group shall be designated as the representatives to execute membership rights. Membership fees of TWD 10,000 shall be paid upon joining the Association; the annual membership fee is TWD 20,000 and should be paid before the annual convention; and
    5. Honorary members: An individual who endorses the purposes of the Association may, with nomination by and approval of the Association, be invited to become an honorary member of the Association.

The member shall be entitled to the following rights: attend activities organized by the Association with a discounted registration fee and attend particular workshops and seminars free of charge.
